Welcome to Just Start Lettering! I'm thrilled to have you in this hand lettering course.

This is the perfect course for you if you've either not started lettering yet, or if you've tried to teach yourself a little bit but are struggling to get the hang of it.

My name is Viktoria Andersson. Thank you so much for being here, I'm so excited to get started talking all things hand lettering.

It's so easy to get started with hand lettering because you can do it whenever and wherever you want and all you need is a pen and paper.

But there are some things, some tips and tricks, and secrets that can make your lettering look better

In this course, we're going to be talking about a bunch of things that you need to know to go from a complete beginner to feeling completely confident with your lettering abilities.

Were going to be talking about what a brush pen is and how it's different from normal pens. We're also going to be talking about what you need to be buying as a beginner and what you really don't need to worry about right now.

We're also going to be talking about the basic anatomy of letters and the basic hand lettering technique and I'll give you all sorts of tips and tricks so you can create beautiful hand lettering with a little bit of practice of course.

Lastly, we're going to talk about how you can develop your own style because that's really important. As we go through this course, your lettering is going to look like mine because you're using my practice sheets and are looking at what I'm doing. But after that, I want you to be able to make it your own so we'll be going through that as well.

We're also going to talk about how to use your hand lettering for a variety of projects. For example, signs, how to make mugs, shirts and how to transfer your lettering to all sorts of surfaces.
